It's about wild learning! Whether out on a hike, exploring in the backyard, growing a little garden or tending to a few flower pots, sitting by the lake or swinging on a swing, it's about staying curious and make discoveries together. As parents we embrace wild child-led learning. We support early childhood development, hands-on education, and love for literature. We follow along with what interests to our children, guiding and encouraging them.
We are a family of life-long learners who want to give our children opportunities to experience a wonderful childhood. We invite both traditional and homeschooling families to join us!
We believe that a mix of ages is an important aspect of sharing knowledge and life skills. As a parent-teacher member you decide what is best for your learner and we can learn together. Siblings of all ages are welcome. For 2025-2026 we are continuing our focus on early and elementary eduction for ages 0-8. Specifically, we're learing towards Froebel's Gifts, elements of Waldort education (watercolor, storytelling, handwork, seaonal cycles), Montessori concepts (independent project work), Charlotte Mason methodology (early literacy and living books) and Forest School philosophy (deep play and nature immersion). We're happy to collaborate and work with like-minded parents, caregiver, and community members who want see children thrive by providing learing opportunities in our local communities.
Maple aka Katerina
Bill
Enter Maple's world - Maple is my nickname, which is a long story of how that came to be, but little children can't always pronounce my given name, so like a wet leaf at the bottom of one's shoe, the nickname stuck and I love that. I like to think I'm a certified brilliant mom with a brain packed full of philosophy (that's my BA from UMass) and a management skills (an MS in Management from Lasell University). Let's just say, I'm much more than your average smarty-pants, I'm an educator (with a pedadogy certificate), an artist, and a nature-loving mom!Between da Vinci styled doodle sessions and self-styled Socratic seminars over homemade bread and granola, our days are is packed with a playfulness and learning, building life skills, sharing knowledge and making childhood truly magical. As a mom to her lovely children, her heart is devoted to the smiles, giggles, big and little messes, and stargazing that fill our homme with joy and warmth. When I'm not shaping young minds, I'm crafting in various mediums, dabbling in homesteading, trying to get dried glue off the floor, stepping on pointy objects, asking "Why is this here?" as one of life's profound question, and baking homemade goodies.
Meet Bill, the ultimate combo dad and our hero. A self-taught software engineer and founder of multiple small businesses. Let's just say, when he isn't making our websites amazing with his sublime IT skills or exploring new ideas in the field of artificial intelligence, he's either adventuring through strange new worlds in his favorite sci-fi audiobook or conquering virtual universes in dazzling video games. Count in his fondness for nature, building bookshelves or entire Lego galaxies, and voila! You have got a dad who not only cracks the code to complex programming but also the handbook to ultimate fun. This maestro trully brings delight to learning.
