Tiny Hike Grassroots Co-op 2025-2026

This year we'll be going with the seasonal cycle. In the spring and summer, we'll continue to hone in our gardening and homesteading skills. And we're going to start up on having a process art park days, nature-based field trips and tiny hikes. In autumn and winter, we'll continue with all the fun, in addition to participating in library programming. There are great programs offered by local libraries in the Central and MetroWest area. Our general area of modus operandus is in Sourthern Worcester County and Southern Central MA, and Northern RI. Join us at the park or the library to play, explore, discover and learn together! It's a wonderful opportunity for families (both who homeschool or are in a public school) to connect, share experiences, learn from each other, and build friendships. We’re a hybrid co-op that would like to provide opportunities for quality family-oriented time together, so we like to have meet ups on some weekdays and some weekends.

For the time and location details please contact us. It’s really easy! Send us an email (contact@tinyhike.org) There isn't an annual membership fee to participate nor a commitment obligation to the co-op. There are a few guideline: 1. The safety of minors is a priority. We don't post picture of meet up on social media. 2. We want families to feel that their children are in an environment around adults that they can trust. 3. There may be a small materials or an field trip entrance fee if applicable. 4. We are neurodivergent inclusive where meet ups provide accommodations.

Our goal is to provide children with an opportunity to develop life skills by exploring the social landscape and enjoy thier academic achievement no matter how big or how small. Some meet ups may have an open ended activity as an option but generally speaking, we like unstructured time for kids to discover their strengths. We also encourage parental participation in the following key areas: leading by example, encouraging exploration and creativity, acknowledging effort and progress, teaching resilience and problem solving, embracing failure as a learning opportunity, and creating a supportive environment.
